Rhuby is a graduated mass communication student from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, with a passion for events, marketing and public relations.
Having a cheerful and bubbly disposition, she is an open-minded and hardworking individual. She strives to give her best in all she does.
In her free time, she's either hanging out with her friends or volunteering in church or at events. She's always on the search for the next best thing to satisfy her sweet tooth as well as her thirst for new adventures and lessons.
Her life motto is: "Life isn't measured by the awards you receive nor the years you've lived but rather the amount of people you've touched and the legacy you leave behind." And so, she's continuously trying to build her legacy through her passion projects and in the work that she does.
Events
Rhuby was part of the organising team for Concordia, a fund raiser in the parish of Our Lady Star of the Sea. In total, they raised a total of $4,652.50 for the church's renovation fund.
As the Welfare Head for the Emmanuel Choir of Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Rhuby planned an outing in order to bond the choir members outside of weekly church sessions.
As a member of the subcommittee for Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Leo Club, Rhuby was one of the ICs of the event and played an active role in the planning of the event as well as the execution of the event.

From September 9 to the 23rd, Rhuby was among the 23 students who went on an exchange programme to Laos.

As a sub-editor, Rhuby worked in a group of seven to put together a 16-page magazine titled 'Vida'. She wrote her own article as well edited the articles of the other writers. She played a hand in the conceptualisation of Vida as well as its designs.

The final assignment for the second year module 'Public Relations' had Rhuby and her team come up with a public relations campaign for the client of Samaritans of Singapore (SOS).

From June 2017 to January 2018, Rhuby had an internship with AllforU Pte Ltd, a startup that connected students/university clubs to corporate sponsors. She handled marketing collaterals and was involved in discussions.

Titled "Pottermore on Air", this 3-minute stereo capsule by Rhuby and classmate Koh Jie Min had them on air, discussing Harry Potter trivia in the light of the release of J.K. Rowling's new book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
